1. Pick a desirable location to attach the Warn Tow Hook. This location may be on the vehicle frame, front or
rear bumper, Warn Winch Mounting Bracket, etc.
(NOTE: Some competitive winch mounting kits may not
have sufficient strength to support heavy loads).
CAUTION: To prevent personal injury or vehicle damage, the location you choose must be capable of
supporting at least 10,000 pounds of force.
2. When you have chosen the location for the Warn Tow Hook, place it in the desired position and mark the two
holes for drilling.
3. Drill two 9/16” (.5625) dia. or 14mm dia. holes at the places marked.
4. Align the holes in the Tow Hook with the drilled holes and insert the two 1/2-13 x 2 “ hex cap screws. Secure
with lockwashers and hex nuts.
CAUTION: If for any reason you replace the capscrews with longer or shorter ones, they must be 1/2-13, grade
5 or 8. DO NOT USE STANDARD GRADE 2 CAPSCREWS.
5. Tighten capscrews to 75 lb./ft., 10.3kg./m.
6. Your Tow Hook is now ready for use when you need it. Thank you for purchasing it from Warn Industries.
