Utility Chests are a versatile way to store and protect your tools. You can mount them to your truck, trailer, or use them in the garage. Dee Zee’s patented Padlock Utility Chest is one of the most rugged chests on the market.
Create a vault that can only be opened by the key holder.
Requiring 2.5 times more pry force than standard tool box latches, you can be assured the average thief won’t have much luck with a crow bar trying to crack the lid. This truck chest is constructed from 20% thicker aluminum than our Red Label boxes with internal bends to reinforce the frame and a full pan double V lid stiffener. This utility box can outlast even the most motivated intruders.
Our patented locking design lets you use your own one inch shackle padlock on the side of the box. The shackle is nested inside the side of the tool box, making it impossible to reach with bolt cutters. Choosing a BOLT padlock allows you to use your own truck ignition key to open the lock. No more carrying a full key ring to access various locks on the job site. (padlock sold separately)
Heavy-duty striker bolts are latched with a patented slide mechanism. The chest lid closes with a single moving part for unmatched strength and security by eliminating weak welded points. The slide is released from the drivers side and releases the dual bolt strikers. An automotive grade rubber bulb seal wraps the undercarriage of the lid to resist Mother Nature’s wrath.
The Padlock Utility Chest has dampened gas shocks to keep the lid open at a 90-degree angle for full access to all your gear. A sliding plastic tool tray keeps smaller items organized and always within reach.
